The Toronto Rugby Union (TRU) is a vibrant, not-for-profit organization dedicated to growing the game of rugby and supporting clubs from Mississauga to Belleville, and from the shores of Lake Ontario to the edges of Georgian Bay.
As one of Canada’s largest and most active rugby unions, the TRU proudly represents 29 clubs and over 6,000 players—from enthusiastic youngsters under 6 to seasoned veterans over 60, across all genders. Whether it’s grassroots development or competitive senior rugby, we are united by one passion: the love of the game.
The TRU is a regional sub-union under Rugby Ontario, the provincial governing body, which in turn is a member of Rugby Canada and the International Rugby Board (IRB)—linking us to the global rugby community.
