For many players and fans, rugby is the best game in the world. It is a combination of demanding physical activity, cameraderie and strategy. Players must play together to achieve success – 15 play as one.
Rugby developed at Rugby School and was one of several versions of football played at English public schools during the 19th century.
Toronto Rugby focuses on the version of rugby known as Rugby Union.

The game may only be to move a ball forward on a dirt field, but the task can be accomplished with an unshackled joy and its memories will be a permanent delight. The women and men who play on that rugby field are more alive than too many of us will ever be. The foolish emptiness we think we perceive in their existence is only our own.”
