Toronto Buccaneers Raise $2000 for Breast Cancer Research!
|BUCCANEERS RAISE $2000 for BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
The Toronto Buccaneers RFC held their annual Pink Ladies Day this past Saturday, July 14th. The Bucs host the event to show their appreciation for the wives, girlfriends, daughters, etc. of club members. Bucs players wear pink throughout the day and during matches, they wear one pink sock to show support for breast cancer research.
This year it was a fantastic turnout with lots of rugby going on throughout the day. Beginning with the Bucs Minis at 10:30 am, followed by Bucs senior men’s 1, 2 & 3 teams all in action.
Big thanks to the Toronto Dragons for being great sports and supporting the cause with a great turn out at the pub after the games. Prizes were raffled off post-match, and along with player donations, the Bucs raised $2000 which will be donated to Rethink Breast Cancer!
Thanks to all of our volunteers who made the day successful and thank you to the Leaside Pub, MLSE & Rugby Canada for their donations!
