Toronto Rugby Strategic Plan Presentation Sunday Nov. 30
|Toronto Rugby Strategic Plan Presentation
- Sunday November 30
- Markham Irish RFC Clubhouse – 150 Austin Dr, Markham, ON L3R 6M7
- 1pm – 3pm
The Toronto Rugby board is pleased and excited to present the attached strategic plan for your review and consideration. We have enclosed the edited draft of the plan so you have all the background information, Mission Statements, Values etc.
Toronto Rugby strongly believes that we have an obligation to help grow and develop the game within our catchment area and work with other stakeholders to do the same across the province.
At the meeting on Sunday, we will be reviewing a shorter version of the plan that will include the 6 work streams and the budget implications. Each part will take about 10 minutes and this will allow about 1 hour for questions. We are not in any way trying to limit questions, comments etc. , however we only have a 2 hour window at this meeting.
We recognize that there is a lot of information to digest and these changes will have serious budget implications. We will be planning another meeting after the AGM to determine the initiatives to be implemented (it could be a multi- year approach) and then an SGM (as required) to approve the budget. We will also allocate some additional time at the AGM to discuss the budget implications and the possibility of changing the current model.
Some of the items are time sensitive in terms of getting the process started so as a takeaway from this meeting, if possible, we would like some direction on items that need to be started now and included in the budget for January, so we can continue planning and getting the initiatives underway. We need to pick dates for the 7’s club tournament, training has to be organized for the Rookie Rugby educators (takes place in Feb), changes to leagues etc. If we miss the window on some of these items, it would be closed for a year.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting on Sunday and welcome your feedback. Please make every effort to attend and feel free to bring several people from your club.
Thank You,
Mark Pinguet
President, on behalf of the Toronto Rugby Board.
