Toronto Rugby well represented at Rugby Canada camps

Toronto Rugby Sevens was well represented this past weekend at the Rugby Canada Selection Camps in Ottawa (Girls) and Kingston (Boys). Each year over sixty different players put on the red and grey jerseys to represent our branch at tournaments such as the Rugby Ontario Interbranch, Ontario Summer Games, LVI/NYC 7’s and tournaments throughout Ontario.

The goal for our program is for each player to hopefully dawn the Maple Leaf red and white one day and create rugby players for life. This past weekend, we had  twenty players make that goal a reality.

The U-18 Girls had 12 players representing four clubs who played Toronto Sevens in the past two years. The U-19 Boys had 7 players representing five club, U-18 Boys had 3 players representing three clubs and U-17 Boys had 1 player representing their club.
