Toronto Elite Reds Have A Strong Showing At The Ontario Summer Games

The Ontario Summer Games were held in London, ON, over the August long weekend and as predicted both The Elite Reds Men’s and The Elite Reds Women’s teams played well and finished in top spots during the tournament.

The games which host the best up and coming athletes from across the province in over 20-plus sports was a great way for supporters to check out up and coming talent from within the province.

“We could not be prouder or happier with the outcome of the Games. Fantastic performances by each player, team and staff over the 4 days of intense preparation and games,” said John Pryce, Technical Director for the Toronto Rugby Union.

After two days of playing round robin rugby, both the men and women’s first teams finished with an impressive silver medal in the Gold final. The women’s second team, “The Heat”, finished fourth and the men’s second team finished off with a close game in the plate final.

Well done to the Elite Reds and best of luck to them as they head into several other tournaments this fall.
